[STYLE] Dara and Bom at 2011 SBS Gayo Daejun 2011

6 Jan

The stunning Dara was wearing a Jonathan Saunders Long Sleeve Devore Burn Out Mini Dress (Retail $673) she accessorized that with Chrome Hearts jewelry and Christian Louboutin booties (Retail $781) we have seen her in on several other occasions. Fans were also especially happy to see her hair down, long and flowing, which is a rarity these days.

Jonathan Saunders is a Scottish fashion designer, known for his work with prints and use of traditional silk screening techniques. He is known for he genius work in color, but still can make an interesting “little black dress”. Celebrities who have worn his designs include Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Sienna Miller, and Michelle Obama.
Looks like Dara was in great company.

No surprise that Bom was also wearing Christian Louboutin’s she seems to adore their Very Prive heels and has worn them often. What was shocking, was her dress, a long flowing velvet gown by Rick Owens. The sleeveless draped maxi dress retails for $1,250 at net-a-port and features a crossover detail at the back and a draped neckline. 2NE1 is no stranger to the brand, they wore a ton of RIck Owens back during the YG On Air days. However, seeing Bom with her legs covered in so much material was certainly a red carpet surprise for Blackjacks.

The big question, did it work? Although we were fond of the dress, it appeared slightly too big on Bom and dragged along the floor rather than “flowed” as the dress was intended. We also weren’t particularly fond of the fur collar it overwhelmed Bom’s gorgeous neckline and face. Overall, we liked the dress, just not necessarily the styling.

What about you, did you love the Park Sisters look?
